While most business owners will take advantage of a holiday as an opportunity to close up shop, take some time off, and relax at home with family, several from Historic Downtown Kissimmee will instead spend Thanksgiving giving back to the less fortunate in our community.
Executive Chef Pouchon Savion (Savion's Place) and Commissioner Felix Ortiz (3 Sisters Speakeasy) along with several other volunteers are opening their hearts and their doors to make sure no family has to go without a hot, traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
Families will be sat by a hostess and served by volunteers. "The idea is an opportunity to allow these families that are experiencing hardship to dine with dignity" says Kissimmee Main Street Executive Director Diana Morrero-Pinto."
Families are encouraged to pre-register at https://thanksgivingdinnerdowntown2018.eventbrite.com but it is not required.
Dinner will be served from 11:30am - 1:30pm on Thanksgiving Day.
If you have questions for a family in need or would like to volunteer, please call Savion's Place at (407) 572-8719
